Does PhotoAIA have a pen tool for vector paths?
Yes. There are six pen-family tools — Pen, Freeform Pen, Curvature Pen, Add/Delete Anchor and Convert Point — plus Direct Select and Path Select, a Paths panel, and conversion between paths and selections.
Drawing and editing
- Pen for precise Bézier anchors and handles.
- Freeform and Curvature pens for faster, more organic shapes.
- Direct Select to move individual anchors; arrow keys nudge by 1px, Shift+Arrow by 10px.
- Convert Point to switch between corner and smooth anchors.
What paths are for
Paths make precise selections that survive re-editing, define clipping paths, and carry text along a curve. They also export to SVG, either as artwork or as standalone path geometry.
Limitation
Paths are not written into PSD files, and are not imported from them. PDF export flattens artwork, so vector paths do not remain vectors in a PDF.
