How do I set up colour management in PhotoAIA?
Open Preferences to set the RGB and CMYK working spaces, the plate separation profile, the rendering intent and black point compensation, then enable soft proofing to preview the printing condition.
Settings
- RGB and CMYK working space.
- Plate separation profile — drives RGB→CMYK conversion and plate values.
- Rendering intent and black point compensation.
- Soft proof: profile, intent, BPC and media simulation.
Inspecting plates
In the Channels panel, choose a single ink to see only what that plate will carry. The separation profile can also be changed directly from that panel, which regenerates the plates through LittleCMS.
A note on accuracy
Soft proofing is a preview and never changes stored pixels. The accuracy of the preview depends on your display profile and viewing conditions; a soft proof is not a substitute for a contract proof from your printer.
