How do I get print-ready output from PhotoAIA?
Set the document to trim size at 300 PPI, load your printer’s ICC profile, soft-proof, convert to CMYK, check the plates, then export either a CMYK TIFF or a print PDF with bleed and marks.
The workflow
- Create the document at final trim size and 300 PPI.
- Load the ICC profile supplied by your printer.
- Enable soft proofing and review the shift.
- Convert to CMYK through the profile.
- Inspect each plate, confirming black text sits on K only.
- Export CMYK TIFF, or a print PDF with bleed and crop marks.
What to ask your printer
- Which ICC profile to use.
- How much bleed they need.
- Whether they want TIFF or PDF.
- Their total ink limit.
